Mission Statement
HelpingTree.org’s mission is to empower underserved individuals and families by providing access to basic computer education, English and Spanish language learning, citizenship education, job readiness support, tax and government form assistance, and refurbished technology to promote self-sufficiency and an improved quality of life.
Vision Statement
We envision communities where all individuals, regardless of income, language, or background, and have the skills, tools, and support needed to fully participate in the digital world and access economic opportunity.
Charitable Purpose
HelpingTree.org is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization’s primary purpose is to reduce educational, economic, and digital inequities by providing free or low-cost educational services, workforce readiness assistance, and access to technology for underserved populations.
Target Population
HelpingTree.org serves individuals who face barriers to education, employment, and technology access, including but not limited to:
- Low-income individuals and families
- Immigrants and refugees
- English and Spanish language learners
- Unemployed or underemployed adults
- Individuals lacking access to computers or digital literacy resources
- Seniors
